Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Drunk Chicken-SK Khazana Recipe

  • Chicken drumsticks 6

  • Dark rum 1/2 cup

  • Ginger-garlic paste 1 tablespoon

  • Black peppercorns crushed to taste

  • Salt to taste

  • Fresh thyme 1 sprig

  • Paprika 1 1/2 teaspoons

  • Brown sugar 1 tablespoon

  • Butter 1 tablespoon

  • Oil 2 tablespoons

Method

Step 1

Put chicken drumsticks in a bowl. Add ginger-garlic paste, crushed peppercorns, salt, thyme and 1 teaspoon paprika, mix well and set aside to marinate for 30 minutes.

Step 2

Heat brown sugar in a non-stick pan. Add rum, remaining paprika and butter, mix and let the butter melt.

Step 3

Add salt, stir to mix and bring to a boil. Cook till the sauce thickens. Remove from heat and set aside.

Step 4

Heat oil in another non-stick pan. Add marinated chicken drumsticks and cook, rotating the drumsticks till they get seared all around. Cover and cook till chicken is browned.

Step 5

Add rum sauce, mix, cover and cook till the chicken is fully done.

Step 6

Serve hot.
