Ingredients
- 250 grams Pizza dough
- Pizza sauce as required
- ½ cup mozzarella cheese, grated
- 3 button mushrooms, sliced
- 2-3 fresh jalapenos, cut into roundels
- ¼ cup mixed capsicum, thin strips
- 4-5 chicken salami, halved
- 3-4 chicken sausages, sliced
- Salt to taste
- Crushed black peppercorns to taste
- 4-5 fresh basil leaves
Method
- Preheat the oven to 200˚C.
- Take a deep baking pan and grease it with some oil.
- Sprinkle some flour and polenta on the worktop, place the dough over and roll into a disc which is of the size of the deep pan.
- Gently lift the rolled-out disc on the rolling pin lower it into the deep pan, and press the sides lightly. Dork it all over with a fork. Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes.
- Spread pizza sauce all over and sprinkle mozzarella cheese. Top with button mushrooms, jalapenos, mixed capsicum strips, salami and chicken sausages. Sprinkle salt, crushed black peppercorns and hand-torn basil leaves.
- Keep the pan back in the hot oven and bake for 15 minutes.
- Bring the pan out of the oven, cut into wedges and serve hot.
