Ingredients for Creamy Prawns Recipe

  • Prawns shelled and deveined with tail intact 12-15 medium

  • Eggs 3

  • Salt to taste

  • Milk 3-4 tablespoons

  • Red chilli sauce 1 tablespoon

  • Oil 3 tablespoons

  • Green capsicum finely chopped 1/2 medium

  • Red capsicum finely chopped 1/2 medium

  • Cornstarch slurry 2 teaspoons

  • Cooked rice 2 cups

Method

Step 1

Break eggs into a bowl, add salt and whisk well. Add milk and whisk again.

Step 2

Take prawns in a bowl, add red chilli sauce and mix well.

Step 3

Heat 1 tbsp oil in a non-stick wok, add prawns and glaze.

Step 4

Heat 1 tbsp oil in a non-stick pan, add green capsicum, red capsicum and salt and mix well. Saute on medium heat.

Step 5

Transfer the prawns into the same bowl and rest for 2-3 minutes.

Step 6

Heat remaining oil in the same non-stick wok, add the egg-milk mixture and cook till the mixture begins to thicken. Add prawns, mix well and cook till the prawns are just done.

Step 7

Add cornstarch slurry, mix well and cook, stirring continuously, till the mixture thickens.

Step 8

Spread cooked rice on a serving platter, top with creamy prawns and sautéed capsicums and serve immediately.
