Coconut and Urad Dal Laddoo By Sanjeev Kapoor 29 Nov 2014 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Split skinless black gram (dhuli urad dal), Coconut powder Cuisine Fusion Course Mithais Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Select Taste Level of Cooking Medium Others Veg Ingredients list for Coconut and Urad Dal Laddoo 2 1/2 cup Split skinless black gram (dhuli urad dal) soaked overnight and drained Coconut powder 2 tablespoons + for coating 8 tablespoons Ghee 10-12 Almonds roughly chopped 10-12 Cashewnuts roughly chopped 1 cup Sugar 2 Green cardamoms 2 teaspoon Raisins Method Grind black gram with sufficient water to a fine paste. Heat 2 tablespoons ghee in a non-stick pan, add almonds and cashewnuts and sauté till lightly browned. Heat remaining ghee in another non-stick pan, add the ground gram and mix well. Cook on low heat till lightly browned stirring continuously. Grind together sugar and green cardamom to a fine powder and add to the pan. Add fried dried fruits, raisins and coconut powder and mix well. Transfer this into a bowl and shape the mixture into laddoos.
