Ingredients list for Chilli Paneer Cigars
- 1 tablespoon Red chilli sauce
- 1/2 cup Paneer (cottage cheese) grated
- 8-12 Spring roll sheets
- 1-2 Spring onions finely chopped
- 1/4 cup Mixed bell peppers finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli flakes
- to taste Crushed black peppercorns
- 1 teaspoon Soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Tomato ketchup
- 1/2 cup Processed cheese grated
- for deep-frying Oil
- 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
- as required Sweet chilli garlic sauce
Method
- Combine cottage cheese, spring onions, mixed bell peppers, chilli flakes, crushed peppercorns, chilli sauce, soy sauce, tomato ketchup and cheese in a bowl and mix well.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
- Dissolve cornstarch with some water in a bowl to make a smooth slurry.
- Put some chilli-cottage cheese mixture on one side of each spring roll sheet. Brush some slurry on the edges of the sheets, fold the sides and roll into the shape of cigars.
- Deep-fry prepared cigars in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Pour some sweet chilli garlic sauce in individual square glasses. Place fried cigars in each glass and serve immediately.
