Ingredients list for Chenna Poda

  • 1/2 kilogram Chenna
  • 1/2 cup Semolina
  • 1 1/4 cups Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Malted chocolate powder
  • 1 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
  • 1 tablespoon Almonds chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Pistachios chopped
  • for greasing Oil
  • for garnishing Chocolate sauce

Method

  1. Preheat oven at 200° C.
  2. Mash together chenna, semolina, sugar, chocolate powder and green cardamom powder in a large bowl. Add almonds, pistachios and mix well.
  3. Grease a cake tin with oil.
  4. Pour the chenna poda mixture into the tin. Cover the tin with a lid and place a bowl of water over it.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven and cut into pieces. Transfer onto a serving plate, drizzle some chocolate sauce and serve.
