Ingredients for Chenna Poda Recipe

  • Chenna 1/2 kilogram

  • Semolina 1/2 cup

  • Sugar 1 1/4 cups

  • Malted chocolate powder 1/2 cup

  • Green cardamom powder 1 teaspoon

  • Almonds chopped 1 tablespoon

  • Pistachios chopped 1 tablespoon

  • Oil for greasing

  • Chocolate sauce for garnishing

Method

Step 1

Preheat oven at 200° C.

Step 2

Mash together chenna, semolina, sugar, chocolate powder and green cardamom powder in a large bowl. Add almonds, pistachios and mix well.

Step 3

Grease a cake tin with oil.

Step 4

Pour the chenna poda mixture into the tin. Cover the tin with a lid and place a bowl of water over it.

Step 5

Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes.

Step 6

Remove from the oven and cut into pieces. Transfer onto a serving plate, drizzle some chocolate sauce and serve.
