Ingredients for Bunny Buns Recipe

  • Brown bread buns 4

  • Chicken cut into small cubes 400 grams

  • Oil 1 tablespo

  • Onion chopped 1 medium

  • Garlic chopped 1 tablespoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Tomato puree 1/4 cup

  • Dried mixed herbs 1 teaspoon

  • Basil leaves 3-4 + a fe


Step 1

Scoop out the burger buns from the top to make a cavity, keeping the base intact. Break the scooped out bread into small pieces and set aside.

Step 2

Heat little oil on a non-stick tawa. Place prepared buns on it and toast on low heat till their base turns crisp. Turn and toast on the other side as well.

Step 3

Heat one tablespoon oil in a non-stick wok, add onion and sauté for a minute. Add garlic and sauté for a minute.

Step 4

Add chicken, mix well and cook. Add salt, mix well and cook till the chicken is half done.

Step 5

Add tomato puree, mix well and cook further. Add dried herbs.

Step 6

Roughly chop three to four basil leaves and add in the pan and mix. Add the bread trimmings, mix well and cook for a minute.

Step 7

Fill the cavities in the buns with the chicken mixture and press lightly.

Step 8

Garnish with basil strips and serve hot.
