Ingredients for Besan ka Halwa Recipe

  • Gram Flour 2 cups

  • Khoya 1 1/2 cups

  • Almonds 1 tbsp chopped + for garnishing

  • Cashewnuts chopped 1 tablespoon

  • Raisins 1 tablespoon

  • Khoya / mawa grated 1 1/2 cups

  • Ghee 3 tablespoons

  • Milk 1 1/2 cups


Step 1

Heat ghee in a non-stick pan, add almonds, cashewnuts and raisins and sauté for a minute.

Step 2

Add gram flour, reduce heat and sauté for 6-8 minutes or till fragrant.

Step 3

Add khoya and palm jaggery and cook, stirring continuously, till jaggery melts.

Step 4

Add milk and mix well. Cook on high heat till halwa thickens.

Step 5

Switch off the heat and transfer into a serving bowl. Garnish with almonds and serve.
