Ingredients for Baked Onion With Cheese Recipe

  • Onions 8-10 medium

  • Processed cheese grated 4 tablespoons

  • Olive oil 4 tablespoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Black pepper powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Red capsicum 1/4 medium

  • Green capsicum 1/4 medium

  • Yellow capsicum 1/4 medium

  • Garlic 8-10 cloves

  • Sugar 1 teaspoon

  • Vinegar 2 teaspoons

Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 180°C. Heat 2 tbsps olive oil in a non stick pan. Quarter onions and separate some layers and add to the pan. Add salt and pepper powder and sauté.

Step 2

Cut red, green and yellow capsicums into ½ inch pieces and put them in a baking dish. Drizzle the remaining olive oil over and sprinkle 2 tbsps grated cheese.

Step 3

Add garlic to the onions along with sugar and mix. When the onions are lightly browned, add vinegar and mix. Transfer the mixture into the baking dish over the capsicums.

Step 4

Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top and bake in the preheated oven till the cheese gets nicely browned. Serve hot.
