Ingredients list for Baked Gajar Halwa with Gulab Jamun

  • 8-10 medium carrots grated
  • 20-22 Gulab Jamun mini
  • 3 tablespoon Ghee
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp + + for sprinkling Green cardamom powder
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Rose syrup
  • ½ cup Khoya/mawa

Method

  1. To make gajar halwa, heat ghee in a non-stick pan, add carrots and sauté for 8-10 minutes. Add sugar, green cardamom powder and mix well. Add milk and cook till the mixture thickens.
  2. Preheat oven to 180º C.
  3. Put mini gulab jaamuns in a baking dish, spread gajar halwa over it, sprinkle cardamom powder on top, drizzle rose syrup and spread khoya evenly. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Remove the dish from the oven and serve hot.
