Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Cook time : 31-40 minutes

Ingredients for Baked Chicken Fingers Recipe

  • Boneless Chicken cut into fingers 4

  • Whole Wheat Flour to taste

  • Red chilli powder 2 teaspoons

  • Crushed black peppercorns 1 1/2 teaspoons

  • Mustard powder 1 teaspoon

  • Garlic finely chopped 1 teaspoon

  • Lemon juice 1 teaspoon

  • Whole wheat flour (atta) 1/4 cup

  • Corn flakes 1/2 cup

  • Almonds sliced 3/4 cup

  • Egg white 2 teaspoons

Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 180°C.

Step 2

Place chicken fingers in a bowl, add salt, 1 tsp red chilli powder, 1 tsp crushed black peppercorns, ½ tsp mustard powder, garlic and lemon juice and mix well.

Step 3

In a bowl, combine whole wheat flour, salt, remaining red chilli powder, remaining crushed black peppercorns and remaining mustard powder.

Step 4

Crush cornflakes in a mortar pestle. Add flour mixture and almonds and mix well.

Step 5

Add egg white to the chicken fingers and mix. Roll them in the flour mixture and dust off excess.

Step 6

Place a silicon sheet on a baking tray. Place the chicken fingers on it and brush them with extra virgin olive oil. Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes. Serve hot.
