Apple and Walnut Raita The name says it all – there are apples and walnuts in this raita.Caramalized apple and walnut mixture added to yogurt, mixed with red chilli powder, cumin powder and chaat. Ightly spiced apple raita prepared by mixing chopped apple, yogurt and cumin powder is a perfect accompaniment for many Indian dishes This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 25 Apr 2018 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Apple, Walnut Cuisine Indian Course Raitas Prep Time 6-10 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Tangy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Apple and Walnut Raita 1 medium Apple peeled and cut into small cubes 10-12 Walnut broken 2 cups Yogurt 3 tablespoons Sugar 1 tbsp + 1 Chaat masala 1 teaspoon Rose water to taste Salt 1 teaspoon Oil a pinch Asafoetida 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder 10-12 Fresh mint leaves to sprinkle Roasted cumin powder Method Mix together yogurt, sugar, 1 tbsp chaat masala and whisk well. Add rose water and salt and mix well. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add asafoetida, apple and toss. Add walnuts and sauté till the apples are lightly caramelized. Add red chilli powder and remaining chaat masala and toss. Transfer into a bowl. Add mint leaves, 1 cup yogurt and mix well. Transfer into a serving bowl. Add the remaining yogurt. Sprinkle roasted cumin powder, red chilli powder and garnish with a walnut. Serve.
