And did you always think that eating a potato will make you fat?
Well, don’t – it is a surprising source of vitamin C and provides useful amounts of starch, thiamine and niacin and around a hundred grams will provide about eighty calories.

Ingredients for Aloo Ka Raita Recipe

  • Potato boiled and peeled 2 medium

  • Yogurt 2 cups

  • Pomegranate seeds (anardana) 1 teaspoon

  • Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon

  • Red chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Black pepper powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped 1 tablespoon


Step 1

Dry roast pomegranate seeds and cumin seeds, cool and grind coarsely.

Step 2

Cut potatoes into small pieces and put them into a bowl.

Step 3

Add red chilli powder, salt, black pepper powder and coriander leaves and mix well.

Step 4

Add yogurt and mix well. Add coarsely ground spice powder and mix well.

Step 5

Serve chilled.
