Aloo Churmur

Ingredients 

  • 2 medium potatoes boiled, peeled and cut into cubes
  • 3 tablespoons dried white peas soaked overnight and pressure-cooked with a pinch
  • Salt to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon cumin powder
  • ¼ teaspoon chaat masala
  • ½ teaspoon green chillies chopped
  • 2 teaspoons fresh coriander leaves, chopped + to garnish
  • 1 tablespoon tamarind water + to sprinkle 
  • 5 crisp puris (puchkas)

Method

  1. Take potato cubes in a bowl and mash with a fork. Add white peas and mix well.
  2. Add salt, cumin powder, chaat masala, green chilli and coriander leaves and mix well. Add 1 tbsp tamarind water. Crush crisp puris and add and mix well.
  3. Transfer aloo churmur onto a serving plate, sprinkle tamarind water, garnish with coriander leaves and serve immediately.
