Ingredients
- 10-15 Pro V Premium Walnuts
- 12 phyllo sheets
- Melted butter as required
- 10-15 Pro V Jumbo Pistachios, shelled and chopped
- 1 cup sugar
- Pistachio powder to sprinkle
Method
- Preheat oven to 180° C.
- Apply melted butter on each phyllo sheet, fold in half and apply melted butter again.
- Place a wooden stick at the end and roll. Remove the stick and gather the edges and shape into a roundel.
- Arrange all the roundels on a baking tray, keep the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes.
- Chop Pro V Premium Walnuts roughly.
- Bring the tray out of the oven and place some chopped walnuts in centre of each roundel and sprinkle Pro V Jumbo Pistachios on top.
- Keep the tray back in the preheated oven and bake for 5-7 minutes.
- Meanwhile to make sugar syrup take sugar in a deep non-stick pan, add 1 cup water and cook till sugar reaches 1 string consistency.
- Bring the tray out of the oven and pour the syrup on baked baklava rolls and sprinkle pistachio powder on top. Serve.
