Ingredients
- ½ red pear
- ½ green pear
- 150 grams brie cheese, sliced
- 8 phyllo sheets
- Melted butter as required
- 4 teaspoons brown sugar
- Cinnamon powder to sprinkle
- 2 tablespoons dried cranberries
- 2 tablespoons crushed walnuts
- Vanilla ice cream for serving
Method
- Preheat oven to 180° C.
- Place 2 phyllo sheets on the work top. Apply melted butter and place 2 more sheets on top.
- Drizzle some more butter and spread evenly. Place 2 more sheets and spread some melted butter on top. Finally place the remaining phyllo sheets on top.
- Place the sheets in a rectangular tart mould and press the edges.
- Core red and green pear and slice thinly.
- Arrange 100 grams brie cheese at the base of prepared tart and sprinkle 2 teaspoons brown sugar.
- Now arrange sliced pear on top and place the remaining brie cheese on top.
- Sprinkle remaining brown sugar and cinnamon powder on top.
- Sprinkle dried cranberries and walnuts on top.
- Place the tart mould on a baking tray, keep it in the preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes.
- Demould the tart and cut it into large cubes. Transfer each onto a serving plate, top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and serve immediately.
