Ingredients
- 2-3 medium English cucumbers
- 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon castor sugar
- 2 teaspoons red chilli oil
- 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon toasted white sesame seeds
Method
- Smash the English cucumbers with the back of a knife and slice them diagonally. Transfer them in a mixing bowl, and set aside for 5-10 minutes.
- To make the dressing, take dark soy sauce in a small bowl, add garlic paste, castor sugar, red chilli oil and rice wine vinegar and mix well.
- Add the dressing to the cucumber mixture and mix well. Add sesame oil and toasted white sesame seeds and mix well.
- Transfer onto a serving plate and serve.
