Sattu Ka Chokha

Chokha is a mashed relish traditionally made with roasted or grilled eggplant, tomato or potato. But here we have used sattu, which is a roasted chana dal flour. High in protein and fibre it is a healthy alternate to any vegetable.

Ingredients

·1½ cups sattu

·2 medium onions

·2 green chillies, chopped

·½ tsp roasted cumin powder

·1 tsp lemon pickle masala

·Salt to taste

·2 tbsps chopped fresh coriander leaves

·1 tsp finely chopped garlic

·1 tsp lemon juice

·2 tbsps mustard oil

Method

1.Chop onions and transfer into a bowl. Add sattu, green chillies, roasted cumin powder, lemon pickle masala, salt, coriander leaves, garlic, lemon juice and mustard oil and mix well.

2.Add ¼ cup water and mix into a dough.

3.Divide the dough into equal portions and shape them into balls. Arrange them in a serving platter and serve.
