Palak Cutlet Cutlets can be made with potatoes and many other vegetables. They make a great snack served with tea or can even be served as a starter with cocktails at any party. Here we have added spinach which not only adds its colour but also its nutrients. By Sanjeev Kapoor 07 Jul 2024 in Recipes Snacks and Starters New Update Palak Cutlet Main ingredients Medium bunch of spinach (palak), Green chillies, Ginger, Potatoes, Garam masala powder, Fresh breadcrumbs, Oil Cuisine Indian Course Snacks and Starters Prep time 20-25 minutes Cook time 10-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Savoury Level of cooking Easy Others Vegetarian Ingredients 1 medium bunch of spinach (palak), blanched and drained 2 green chillies, broken ½ inch ginger 3 medium potatoes, boiled, peeled and mashed ½ teaspoon garam masala powder Salt to taste 1 cup fresh breadcrumbs Oil for greasing + for shallow frying Tomato ketchup to serve Method Coarsely grind together blanched spinach, green chillies and ginger in a mixer without using any water. Transfer into a large bowl. Add potatoes, garam masala powder and salt and mix till well combined. Add fresh breadcrumbs and mix well. Grease your hands with some oil and take a small portion of the mixture and shape it like a ball. Slightly flatten to shape it like a cutlet. Heat sufficient oil in a non-stick shallow pan. Slide in the cutlets and shallow fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
