Ingredients
- 15-20 java plums (jamuns), seeded and roughly chopped
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ teaspoon roasted cumin powder
- ½ teaspoon chaat masala
- 1 teaspoon black salt
- ½ lemon
Method
- Heat ½ cup water and sugar in a non-stick pan and cook till sugar melts. Take the pan off the heat and allow to cool completely.
- Put the jamuns into a blender jar, add roasted cumin powder, black salt and chaat masala and blend to a fine paste.
- Strain the mixture through a fine strainer into a large bowl. Add cooled sugar syrup and mix well. Squeeze the juice of lemon directly into it and mix well.
- Transfer the mixture into popsicle moulds and close the lid. Place them in the freezer for 6-8 hours.
- De-mould, place them on a serving plate and serve.
