Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons roughly chopped green garlic bulbs
- 2-3 tablespoons roughly chopped green garlic stalks
- Sea salt to taste
- 10-15 fresh basil leaves
- 2 tablespoons pine nuts
- 2-3 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
- ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil + to drizzle
- Boiled pasta as required
Method
- Put green garlic bulbs in a mortar, add green garlic stalks and sea salt and crush coarsely with a pestle.
- Add basil leaves and continue to crush. Add pine nuts and crush.
- Add parmesan cheese and crush coarsely. Add extra virgin olive oil and mix well.
- Transfer into a serving bowl, drizzle extra virgin olive oil and use as required.
- To serve, take boiled pasta in a bowl, top it with pesto sauce and serve.
