Chocolate Bomb

Not too difficult to make, these crumbly pastry balls stuffed with a mixture of chocolate, cream and peanut butter are a delight especially when you bite into them and the stuffing gushes out.

Method

  1. Pour ½ cup warm water into a bowl, add oil, castor sugar, vanilla essence and refined flour, mix and knead into a soft dough. Brush the dough with a little oil, cover the bowl with cling wrap and set aside for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Take melted milk chocolate in another bowl, add peanut butter and fresh cream and mix well. Keep this in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  3. Divide dough into equal portions and shape each portion into a ball. Grease the worktop with oil. 
  4. Roll each portion into a disc, place some chocolate mixture in the center, bring the edges into center and press to seal properly. Trim off the excess dough.
  5. Arrange the stuffed balls upside down on a lined baking tray. Refrigerate for 10-15 minutes.
    Preheat the oven to 200° C.
  6. Place the baking tray in the preheated oven and bake for 6-8 minutes. 
  7. Bring the baking tray out of the oven and place the chocolate bomb on a serving plate and serve.
