Ingredients
- 250 grams fresh cherries
- ¼ cup castor sugar
- A pinch of salt
- ½ lemon
- Sourdough cream cheese toast to serve
Method
- Deseed and chop the cherries roughly.
- Heat a pan, add cherries, castor sugar and salt, mix and cook on medium heat for 10-15 minutes or till cherries soften.
- Squeeze the juice of lemon into the pan and mix well.
- Take the pan off the heat and allow the mixture to cool completely.
- Store in airtight container or apply on cream cheese toast and serve.
