Ingredients
- 8 over ripe bananas
- 1 cup porridge oats
- 1 cup yogurt
- 4 small boiled beetroot, peeled
- 1 cup mixed frozen berries (blueberry and strawberry)
- 4 tablespoons honey
- 1 cup milk
- For garnish
- Granola as required
- Fresh strawberries as required
- Fresh blueberries as required
- Almond flakes as required
- Soaked chia seeds as required
- A few fresh mint leaves
Method
- Peel bananas, break them and put into a blender jar, add oats and yogurt. Roughly chop beetroot and add to the blender jar. Add frozen berries, honey and milk and blend till smooth.
- Pour the smoothie into individual serving bowls. Garnish with granola, halved strawberries, blueberries, almonds, chia seeds and mint leaves and serve immediately.
