Ingredients

  • 8 over ripe bananas
  • 1 cup porridge oats
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 4 small boiled beetroot, peeled
  • 1 cup mixed frozen berries (blueberry and strawberry) 
  • 4 tablespoons honey
  • 1 cup milk
  • For garnish
  • Granola as required
  • Fresh strawberries as required
  • Fresh blueberries as required
  • Almond flakes as required
  • Soaked chia seeds as required
  • A few fresh mint leaves

Method  

  1. Peel bananas, break them and put into a blender jar, add oats and yogurt. Roughly chop beetroot and add to the blender jar. Add frozen berries, honey and milk and blend till smooth.
  2. Pour the smoothie into individual serving bowls. Garnish with granola, halved strawberries, blueberries, almonds, chia seeds and mint leaves and serve immediately.
