Ingredients for Wonton Rolls Recipe

  • Wonton sheets 8

  • Onion 1 medium

  • Oil 1 tablespoon

  • Garlic finely chopped 1 tablespoon

  • Fried potato wedges 1 cup

  • Tomato ketchup 1 tablespoon

  • Red chilli sauce 1 tablespoon

  • Butter for brushing

  • Cornstarch slurry 2 tablespoons


Step 1

Preheat oven to 180º C. Roughly chop onion.

Step 2

Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add onion and garlic and sauté till lightly browned.

Step 3

Roughly chop potato wedges and place in a bowl, add sautéed ingredients and mix well. Add tomato ketchup and red chilli sauce and mix well.

Step 4

Place a wonton sheet on the worktop, brush with butter and cover with another wonton sheet. Similarly use rest of the sheets.

Step 5

Place some of the potato mixture in the center of each wanton sheet, apply cornstarch slurry on the sides and fold one edge over another to make a packet.

Step 6

Brush a baking tray with butter, place the wanton packets on it and brush the top with some butter. Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes.

Step 7

Arrange the wonton packets on a serving plate and serve immediately.
