Ingredients list for Veg Mayonnaise Sandwich - SK Khazana
- 8 White bread slices
- 1 cup Fresh cream
- 150 millilitres Olive oil
- to taste Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Mustard powder
- 1 Medium yellow capsicum thinly sliced
- 1 Medium carrot peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 Medium red capsicum thinly sliced
- 1/4 Cabbage thinly shredded
- 1/4 Red cabbage thinly shredded
- as required Butter
- 2 Cheese slices
- to serve Green chutney
- to serve French fries
Method
- Preheat a sandwich griller.
- To make veg mayonnaise, take cream in a bowl and beat it slightly with a hand blender. Add oil gradually and beat till well blended. Add salt, sugar and mustard powder and mix well.
- Take yellow capsicum, carrot, red capsicum, cabbage and red cabbage in a bowl. Add some mayonnaise and combine well.
- Apply butter on 4 bread slices, spread the vegetable mixture generously 4 slices. Place a cheese slice on 2 breads and cover all with the remaining bread slices.
- Trim the edges of the sandwiches without cheese and cut them into triangles.
- Apply butter on top of sandwiches with cheese and place them on grill toaster and grill till grill marks appear. Slice into triangles.
- Arrange the sandwiches on a serving plate and serve immediately with green chutney and French fries.
