Ingredients list for Uttappam Sandwich

  • as required Dosa Batter
  • for cooking Oil
  • as required Grated processed cheese
  • 2 medium Onions cut into slices and rings separated
  • 2 medium Tomatoes sliced
  • for garnishing Fresh coriander leaves Chopped
  • to taste Chaat masala
  • as required Butter
  • as required Green chutney
  • as required Tomato ketchup

Method

  1. Add salt to the dosa batter, mix well and set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a non-stick tawa. Pour ladleful of batter three times and spread into three separate uttappams.
  3. Add some cheese on one uttappam, onion rings on another and sliced tomatoes on third. Sprinkle chopped coriander on each alongwith chaat masala and add a dollop of butter on each. Cook till the underside is done. Flip, apply butter on each and cook till the other side is also cooked.
  4. Remove from heat and place on a worktop. Spread evenly green chutney on the cheese uttappam. Place the onion uttappam on top. Spread evenly tomato ketchup on it and place the tomato uttappam on top.
  5. Secure the uttappam sandwich with toothpicks and cut into pieces.
  6. Serve immediately with green chutney.
