Remove stems and break whole red chillies into two. Heat oil and add mustard, urad dal, whole red chillies and asafoetida. Add chopped tomatoes and fry for about five minutes over a low heat. Set aside to cool. After it has cooled down, mix it well with yogurt and salt. Serve cold.
