Ingredients 

  • 1 1/2 cup tomato chopped
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 teaspoons mustard powder
  • 2 tablespoons mustard seeds
  • A pinch asafoetida
  • Salt to taste

Method

  1. Heat oil in a kadai. Add the mustard powder, mustard seeds and asafoetida.
  2. Saute for a minute. Add the tomatoes and mix well. Cover and cook till soft. Add salt and mix. Allow the mixture to cool and store in air tight jars.
