Tiranga bread pakodas By Sanjeev Kapoor 04 Dec 2014 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Bread, Potatoes Cuisine Indian Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 51-60 minutes Cook time 6-10 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Tiranga bread pakodas 12 slices Bread cut into triangles 8-10 medium Potatoes boiled and peeled 2 medium Carrots boiled and mashed to taste Salt 1 1/2 tablespoons Red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder 1 bunch Spinach leaves (palak) blanched and pureed 2-3 Green chillies chopped 1 teaspoon Lemon juice 1 cup Mozzarella cheese 2 cups Gram flour (besan) a pinch Asafoetida 1 teaspoon Carom seeds (ajwain) to deep fry Oil Method Divide the potatoes in three equal portions. To the first portion add carrots, salt, red chilli powder and garam masala. Mix them and set aside. To the second potatoes portion add spinach puree, salt, green chillies and lemon juice. Mix them and set aside. To the third portion add mozzarella cheese and salt and mix well. Mix them and set aside. In a large bowl mix together gram flour, salt, hing, ajwain and water and mix well to form have a batter consistency. Take a bread slice put the spinach filling in the bottom, top it with cheese filling and then with carrot filling and then close it with another filling and press it. Dip the bread in the gram flour mixture. Heat oil in a non-stick kadai. Dip the bread and deep fry them till golden brown in color. Drain on absorbent paper.Follow the same with the remaining bread slices.
