Ingredients list for Tadka Salad

  • 1 kilogram Tomatoes chopped
  • to taste Onions
  • 2 medium Onions chopped
  • 2 teaspoons Red chilli powder
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1/3 cup Vinegar


  1. Put the tomatoes in a deep non stick pan and cook on medium heat.
  2. Add salt and mix. Add onions and red chilli powder and mix. Add sugar and stir till it dissolves. Cook till the excess moisture evaporates.
  3. Add vinegar, mix and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Transfer into sterilized bottles and store in refrigerator when cooled down to room temperature. Use when required.
