Ingredients list for Sweet Cheedai
- 1 cup Rice soaked for 30 minutes and drained
- 1/2 cup Jaggery (gur) grated
- 1 tablespoon Split black gram flour (urad dal ka atta)
- 1/2 cup Fresh Scraped Coconut
- 1/8 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
- for deep-frying Oil
Method
- Grind the rice with jaggery coarsely without using water and transfer into a bowl.
- Add black gram flour, coconut and cardamom powder and knead into stiff dough.
- Divide the dough into twelve equal portions and shape into small balls and press them slightly.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai, slide in the cheedai and deep-fry till golden. Drain on absorbent paper.
