By Sanjeev Kapoor 07 Apr 2015 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Moong Sprouts, Basmati Rice Cuisine Fusion Course Rice Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Sprouted Green Gram Fried Rice 3/4 cup Moong Sprouts 1 1/4 cups Basmati Rice soaked to taste Salt 3 tablespoons Oil 1 tablespoon Ginger-green chilli paste 4-5 Spring onions chopped 1 Capsicum sliced 1/4 small Cabbage shredded 1 tablespoon Sugar to taste White pepper powder 2 stalks Spring onion greens chopped Method Cook the rice with three cups of water and salt till done. Drain and keep aside. Heat oil in a wok, add ginger and green chilli paste and sauté for one minute. Add spring onion, capsicum and cabbage and cook for four to six minutes. Add the moong sprouts and cook for another five minutes. Add salt and mix Take sugar in a pan, add one tablespoon water and heat till the sugar caramelizes. Add the cooked rice along with caramelized sugar to the sprout mixture and toss well. Add white pepper powder and mix. Serve hot garnished with spring onion greens.
