Ingredients list for Spinach Cheese Balls-SK Khazana

  • 1 cup Spinach puree
  • 1/3 cup Cheddar cheese grated
  • 1/3 cup Processed cheese grated
  • 3 tablespoons Cornflour
  • 1/4 cup Dried breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper powder
  • 2 teaspoons Red chilli flakes
  • for deep-frying Oil
  • 1/2 cup Cabbage shredded
  • 2 tablespoons Carrot strips
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice

Method

  1. Mix together spinach puree, cornflour, breadcrumbs, panko breadcrumbs, salt and pepper powder in a bowl.
  2. Mix together cheddar cheese, processed cheese, salt, pepper powder and chilli flakes in another bowl.
  3. Divide the cheese mixture into equal balls. Divide the spinach mixture into equal portions.
  4. Spread each spinach portion in your palm, place a cheese ball in the centre, bring the edges together and shape into a ball. .
  5. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Deep-fry balls golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper.
  6. Mix together cabbage, carrot, pepper powder, salt and lemon juice in a bowl.
  7. Spread this salad on a serving platter, keep the spinach cheese balls over it and serve immediately.
