Cut into long pieces with out peeling. Put the pieces in ice-cold water. Drain. Heat oil and deep-fry the potato pieces till golden brown. Drain. Mix salt, crushed peppercorns, red chilli powder, chaat masala and sprinkle this on the fried potato pieces. Put them on a plate, sprinkle grated cheese over and bake in a preheated oven (180 C) for 10-12 minutes.
