Ingredients 

  • 250 grams string beans (chavli)
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped garlic 
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions 
  • 1 tablespoon Red chilli paste
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon Vinegar

Method

  1. Cut beans into even long pieces. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
  2. Heat 2 tbsps oil in a non stick wok, add garlic and onion and sauté till transluscent. Add red chilli paste, salt and soy sauce and mix.
  3. Add tomato ketchup and cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Deep fry beans in the kadai 3-4 minutes. Drain the beans and add to the sauce. Add vinegar and mix well and cook on high heat for a minute. Serve hot.
