Ingredients list for Soya Shammi Kebab
- 2 cups Soya Nuggets soaked in hot water
- 6 tablespoons Split Bengal Gram
- 5 cloves Garlic
- 1 inch piece Ginger
- 2 tablespoons Split Bengal gram (chana dal) soaked
- to taste Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder
- 1/2 tablespoon Red chilli powder
- 1 tablespoon Pomegranate (anar)
Method
- Heat 2 tbsps oil in a non stick pan.
Roughly chop garlic and ginger and add to the pan and saute till fragrant. - Drain and add chana dal along with soya nuggets, salt, garam masala powder, red chilli powder and mix well.
Add pomegranate seeds and a little water and cook till the dal is cooked and mixture is dry. - Cool and grind till smooth.
Transfer into a bowl. - Heat 4 tbsps oil in a non stick pan.Divide the mixture into equal portions, roll into balls and then flatten slightly.
Place them in the pan and shallow-fry, turning sides, till golden on both sides. - Serve hot.
