Ingredients list for Shrimp Popcorn
- 1 cup Shrimps cleaned
- 4 White bread slices
- to deep fry Oil
- to taste Salt
- to taste Crushed black peppercorns
- Lemon juice of ½ lemon
- 3-4 Fresh parsley sprigs
- 2 Eggs
Method
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
- Take shrimps in a bowl. Add salt, crushed peppercorns and lemon juice and mix well. Set aside.
- Cut bread slices into small pieces and put in a grinder jar. Grind to get breadcrumbs and transfer onto a plate.
- Finely chop parsley sprigs and add to the breadcrumbs and mix well.
- Separate egg whites from yolks. Add salt to the whites and whisk well.
- Dip marinated shrimps, one by one, in the whisked egg whites, coat with breadcrumbs mixture and deep-fry in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Serve hot with lemon wedges.
