Ingredients list for Shrikhand Wadi
- 2 cups Hung yogurt
- Sugar
- 3 cups Sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg powder
- a few strands Saffron (kesar) optional
- 1/4 cup Mixed nuts
- 1/2 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
- 2 tablespoons Pistachios blanched and slivered
Method
- Mix hung yogurt and sugar well in a pan. Cook on medium heat stirring continuously.
- Cook for fifteen to twenty minutes or till it becomes thick and leaves the sides of the pan. Add nutmeg powder, saffron, nuts and green cardamom powder and mix. Grease a tray.
- Transfer the cooked yogurt mixture onto the greased tray and pat to smoothen the top. Cool and allow to set.
- Cut into desired shapes, garnish with pistachios and serve.
