Ingredients list for Shakkarkand ka Halwa
- 6-8 medium Sweet Potatoes grated
- 5 tablespoons Khoya
- 1/4 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1 cup Khoya / mawa grated
- 1 tablespoon Cashewnuts chopped
- 1 tablespoon Almonds chopped
- 1 tablespoon Pistachios chopped
Method
- Heat 4 tbsps ghee in a non-stick pan, add sweet potatoes and saute for 12-15 minutes.
- Add green cardamom powder, sugar and cook, stirring continuously, till the sugar dissolves completely.
- Add khoya and mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Heat the remaining ghee in another non-stick pan, add cashewnuts, almonds, pistachios and sauté till light golden. Add the nuts to the halwa.
- Transfer into serving bowls and serve.
