Ingredients list for Shakkarkand Chaat
- 6-8 medium Sweet potatoes
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 3-4 cloves Garlic chopped
- 2 Green chillies chopped
- 1/4 cup Fresh coriander leaves chopped
- 1/4 cup Fresh mint leaves chopped
- 1 teaspoon Black salt (kala namak)
- to taste Salt
- 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon Black peppercorns
- 1 medium Onion finely chopped
Method
- Peel and cut sweet potatoes into half inch sized cubes. Dry roast cumin seeds and grind to a fine powder. Grind garlic, green chillies, coriander leaves and mint leaves to a fine paste.
- Mix together cooked sweet potato cubes, ground paste, roasted cumin powder, black salt, salt, crushed peppercorns, lemon juice and chopped onion. Toss well and serve at room temperature.
