Sev Tomato Sandwich

It is a crispy and tangy Indian-inspired snack made with juicy tomatoes, crunchy sev and chutney, all sandwiched between soft bread slices. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe.

Ingredients

  • Ā¾ cup aloo bhujia sev
  • 1 large tomato, choppedĀ 
  • 8 white bread slices
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 chopped green chillies
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander
  • 2 tablespoons tomato ketchup
  • Salt to taste
  • Butter for applying
  • 4 cheese slices

Method

  1. In a bowl, add aloo bhujia sev, tomatoes, onion, coriander, green chillies, tomato ketchup, salt and mix well.
  2. Apply butter on the bread slice, place a portion of the stuffing on one side, place the cheese slice on top and cover it with another slice of bread with butter side down.
  3. Apply butter on top of the prepared sandwiches.
  4. Melt butter on a non-stick tawa. Place the prepared sandwiches and toast till golden brown on both sides.
  5. Cut into triangles and serve hot with potato wedges.
