By Sanjeev Kapoor 28 Aug 2015 in Recipes Veg New Update Main Ingredients Dried coconut ( khopra), Dried red chillies Cuisine Kerala Course Powders Prep Time 6-10 minutes Cook time 31-40 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Samandhi Podi 3 cups Dried coconut ( khopra) grated 8-10 Dried red chillies 1/2 teaspoon Coriander powder 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper powder 1/2 teaspoon Fenugreek seeds (methi dana) 8-10 Curry leaves to taste Salt 1/2 teaspoon Dried ginger powder (soonth) 1 lemon sized tamarind ball Method Dry roast coconut, red chillies, coriander powder, black pepper powder, fenugreek seeds and curry leaves in a non-stick pan till the coconut is evenly browned. Set aside to cool. Transfer the red chillies into a blender and grind it with salt. Add rest of the coconut mixture and grind again. Add ginger powder and tamarind and grind again to a coarse powder.
