Ingredients list for Saeb Ki Burfi
- 4 Apples grated
- 1/2 Khoya
- 1 tablespoon Ghee
- 6-8 Almonds chopped
- 6-8 Cashewnuts chopped
- 6-8 Pistachios chopped
- 1 cup Apple juice
- 3 tablespoons Sugar
- 1 cup Mawa (khoya) grated
Method
- Grate apples with the skin and add lemon juice to it. Heat ghee in a non-stick pan.
- Drain water from the grated apples, add them to the pan and sauté on a high heat till fragrant.
- Grease a tray with ghee. Sprinkle the chopped almonds, cashew nuts and pistachios on it.
- Add apple juice, sugar to the pan and mix well. When the sugar dissolves and mixture thickens, add mawa and cook, stirring continuously.
- When the mixture begins to leave the sides of the pan, transfer the mixture onto the tray.
- Keep the tray in the refrigerator when the mixture cools down to room temperature. Once the burfi is set, cut into pieces and serve.
