Ingredients list for Quick Gajar Halwa
- 7-8 Orange carrots , peeled and boiled
- 4 tablespoons Ghee
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1/4 cup Condensed milk
- 1/4 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
- 1/2 cup + tablespoons Fresh mawa / khoya , grated
- 10-12 Almonds , slivered
- 10-12 Pistachios , slivered
Method
- Grate the carrots coarsely.
- Melt pure ghee in a deep pan, add carrots and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Add sugar and mix and cook stirring continuously till the sugar melts.
- Add condensed milk and green cardamom powder and mix well.
- Add ½ cup mawa and mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Switch the heat off and add the remaining mawa and mix well.
- Transfer onto a serving platter, garnish with almonds and pistachios and serve.
