Ingredients list for Quick Gajar Halwa

  • 7-8 Orange carrots , peeled and boiled
  • 4 tablespoons Ghee
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Condensed milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
  • 1/2 cup + tablespoons Fresh mawa / khoya , grated
  • 10-12 Almonds , slivered
  • 10-12 Pistachios , slivered

Method

  1. Grate the carrots coarsely.
  2. Melt pure ghee in a deep pan, add carrots and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Add sugar and mix and cook stirring continuously till the sugar melts.
  3. Add condensed milk and green cardamom powder and mix well.
  4. Add ½ cup mawa and mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Switch the heat off and add the remaining mawa and mix well.
  6. Transfer onto a serving platter, garnish with almonds and pistachios and serve.
