Pulled Chicken Burger Burger buns spread with sundried tomato pesto, topped with shredded chicken to make delicious burgers. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe. By Sanjeev Kapoor 01 Sep 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Advertisment Main Ingredients Chicken legs, Burger buns Cuisine American Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 21-25 minutes Cook time 31-40 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Pulled Chicken Burger 500 grams Chicken legs 4 Burger buns 1 tablespoon Garlic finely chopped 1 tablespoon Mustard paste to taste Salt to taste Crushed black peppercorns for basting Olive oil 1 tablespoon + to serve Iceberg lettuce 8-10 Tomato slices 8-10 Onion slices Sundried tomato pesto 12-15 Sundried tomatoes to taste Salt 2 tablespoons Walnut kernels ¼ cup Olive oil Method Make incision on chicken legs and put them into a bowl. Add garlic, mustard paste, salt, crushed peppercorns and olive oil and mix well. Set aside for 20-25 minutes to marinate. Preheat oven to 180º C. Place the marinated chicken on the baking tray, baste with olive oil. Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes. Remove from oven, cool down to room temperature. To make pesto, grind together sundried tomatoes, salt, walnuts and olive oil to a smooth paste. Halve burger buns. Heat a non-stick pan, lightly toast the buns till heated through. Shred or pull the baked chicken with fork or finger tips. Place iceberg lettuce on one side of the serving plate, place base half of each bun on the other side of the plate, place 2 slices of tomatoes and onions over each base, place pulled chicken pieces over them, top with sundried tomato pesto and cover with top half of the buns.
