This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 17 Feb 2022 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Split skinless black gram (dhuli urad dal), Split skinless green gram (dhuli moong dal) Cuisine South Indian Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 10-15 hour Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Advertisment Ingredients list for Power Idli 1 cup Split skinless black gram (dhuli urad dal) , soaked for 3-4 hours 1 cup Split skinless green gram (dhuli moong dal) , soaked for 3-4 hours 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds 1/2 teaspoon Asafoetida 1 teaspoon Ginger-green chilli paste 1/2 tablespoon Turmeric powder to taste Salt to serve Coconut chutney Method Drain and put split black gram and split green gram into a blender jar. Add sufficient water and blend to a fine paste. Transfer into a large bowl and whisk well. Cover the bowl and set aside in a warm place to ferment for 6-8 hours. Add cumin seeds, asafoetida, ginger-green chilli paste, turmeric powder and salt and mix well. Heat sufficient water in a steamer, pour the batter into greased idli moulds and steam for 12-15 minutes. Take the moulds out of the steamer and set aside to cool slightly. Dip spoon in water and scoop out the idlis from the mould and arrange them on a serving platter.
