Ingredients list for Poached Egg Burger
- 4 Mini burger buns
- 4 Eggs
- to taste Salt
- 3-4 Lettuce leaves
- 1 medium Onion cut into rings
- 1 tablespoon Mayonnaise
- ½ teaspoon Crushed black peppercorns
- 1 tablespoon Red chilli sauce
Method
- Slit the burger buns in half.
- Break an egg into each of four silicon cupcake moulds and sprinkle some salt over them.
- Heat some water in a non-stick pan and keep the moulds in it. Cook till the egg whites become firm. This may take about four to five minutes.
- Carefully take the eggs out of the moulds and keep aside.
- Shred the lettuce and slice the onion rings in two halves.
- Place the base of the burgers on the worktop, place some lettuce and onion on it, drizzle mayonnaise over them.
- Carefully remove the eggs and place over the buns. Place them on a serving plate and sprinkle some crushed peppercorns and drizzle chilli sauce.
- Cover with the top of the burger buns and serve hot.
