Picnic Chicken Easy to make tasty chicken dish This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 31 Mar 2017 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Chicken on the bone, Dried red chillies Cuisine Indian Course Main Course Chicken Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Moderate Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Picnic Chicken 750 grams Chicken on the bone cut into 12 pieces 4-5 Dried red chillies 7-8 cloves Garlic 1 1/2 inch pieces Ginger 4 Stick Cinnamon 6-8 Cloves 2 Black cardamoms 1 teaspoon Coriander seeds 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds 1/4 teaspoon Fenugreek seeds (methi dana) 1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds 2 medium Onions 2 medium Potatoes to taste Salt 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder Method Roughly chop onions, garlic and ginger and put into a mixer jar. Dry roast, cinnamon, cloves, black cardamoms, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds and mustard seeds. Put red chillies in the mixer jar.Heat oil in a non stick pan. Slice potatoes into thin roundels and saute in the pan. Add the roasted spices to the mixer jar and grind everything to a smooth paste with a little water. Sprinkle a little salt, a pinch of turmeric power and red chilli powder over the potato slices. Cover and cook. Place chicken in a bowl, add salt and remaining turmeric powder and mix. Add this to the potatoes in the pan and mix well. Cover and cook on medium heat for 15-20 minutes.Add the ground paste and mix. Cover and cook on low heat for 15-20 minutes. Serve hot.
