Ingredients list for Pesto Pasta with Olive Oil

  • 200 grams Wholewheat penne pasta
  • Black olives
  • 8-10 Black olives pitted and sliced
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red chilli flakes
  • 2 tablespoons Extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Milk
  • Pesto sauce
  • 3-4 cloves Garlic
  • to taste Salt
  • 3/4 cup Basil leaves
  • 8 slices Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh parsley
  • 4 tablespoons Extra virgin olive oil

Method

  1. Heat sufficient water in a deep non stick pan, keep a strainer in it and put the pasta in it. Cook till just done.
    Grind together basil leaves, garlic, salt, parmesan cheese, parsley and 2 tbsps extra virgin olive oil to a paste
  2. .
    Add another 2 tbsps extra virgin olive oil and grind again.
    Heat 2 tbsps extra virgin olive oil in a non stick pan, add the pesto and sauté. Drain the pasta and add and mix well.
    Add 2 tbsps milk and mix. Add black olives and mix well.
  3. Sprinkle crushed red chillies and serve hot.
