Ingredients list for Pesto Pasta with Olive Oil
- 200 grams Wholewheat penne pasta
- Black olives
- 8-10 Black olives pitted and sliced
- 1/4 teaspoon Red chilli flakes
- 2 tablespoons Extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons Milk
- Pesto sauce
- 3-4 cloves Garlic
- to taste Salt
- 3/4 cup Basil leaves
- 8 slices Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon Fresh parsley
- 4 tablespoons Extra virgin olive oil
Method
- Heat sufficient water in a deep non stick pan, keep a strainer in it and put the pasta in it. Cook till just done.
Grind together basil leaves, garlic, salt, parmesan cheese, parsley and 2 tbsps extra virgin olive oil to a paste - .
Add another 2 tbsps extra virgin olive oil and grind again.
Heat 2 tbsps extra virgin olive oil in a non stick pan, add the pesto and sauté. Drain the pasta and add and mix well.
Add 2 tbsps milk and mix. Add black olives and mix well. - Sprinkle crushed red chillies and serve hot.
